I had the privilege of working with and for Wendell at the VA for many years. He was quite a character, always ready to pull a joke and provide a laugh. I know he loved his wife and children. From this 'foot washing Baptist' I'll see you later, Wendy!

I am so sorry to hear of Wendell's passing. I worked with Wendell for many years at the VA. He was one of the nicest people I know and always had a way of making everybody feel welcome...I loved his jokes and his pleasant manner. I know he will be missed but he leaves many wonderful memories for you all. Anne Harris

I never had the privilege of meeting Wendell, but I know his daughter, Lisa and his granddaughter, Ashley and I know it took a good man to raise such amazing women. I'm praying that you will feel God's comfort and peace during this temporary separation and that your memories of Wendell bring you great joy.
