Im so sorry to hear of his passing. He was my 1st Sgt and I was ther Company Clerk at HQ Detachment, US army garrison, Ft Sheridan Illinois in the mid 70's. We bowled on the same team and spent many an evening at the NCO CLub when I made Sargeant. He was a great man and taught me a lot. I always think of good times.

Dear Holly and Family,

You are in my prayers dear friend. I am so glad that you were home to be with your dad and during this time when he needed you. I wish I could be there with you. There is a place where we will all meet again, but you will miss him here. May he rest in peace with no pain.

Dearest Pop,
Each time we think of you, our hearts fill with love, joy and fond happiness. I can remember those working times on the farm, when we were all putting up bobwire fencing. There were lots of laughs, hard work and hurting fingers. Pop, you were always there for me, whether it be advice, sharing troubles or sharing a good laugh. All your stories I can still hear, which are lovingly locked within my memories.
We thank you for YOU Pop, for all your warmth, fun and most of all love. It has been our great honor and pleasure to have known you. Dear Pop, you are and always will be forever in our hearts, prayers and memories. WE LOVE YOU, POP xxxxxxxx

I just want to send my condolences to the family of such a special man to me. Mr. Parton was my very first patient when I started working here in HBO and we stayed in touch ever sense. He was so funny and such a character. I loved like he was one of my own family. I will miss him dearly and will cherish the memories of all the crazy days we had together.
