I was saddened to find my boyhood friend Kim has passed. We spent many a summer day together roaming around the hills of the Mathis farm, playing 2 man baseball,climbing down in the rock quarry, and playing in the creeks and springs. On rainy days we would watch tv at his house. I am the next door neighbor, Goldie Allison’s nephew who came down from Detroit for several summers. Then I went to Woodbury school with Kim in the 7th grade and remember going out to his dads farm a time or two, riding in the back of the truck. We had some good times and he was a good friend. I have a picture of him at my family reunion at Short Mountain in the 50’s, which prompted me to try and look him up. My condolences to his beautiful family. We have all been enriched to have known him.
