Nancy Lassiter Mayo, 74, who passed away Thurs., Sept. 1, 2016 at St. Thomas Rutherford. She was a native of Cannon Co.
She is survived by her children, Dewana (James) Hale of Rockvale, Kerry (Flo) Mayo of Bradyville, Teresa Jacobs of Christiana, Angela (Billy) Knox of Readyville and Dan (Christine) Mayo of Lebanon; Grandchildren, Jackie (Richard) Corcoran, Kenny (Melanie) Stratton, Payton (Kelly) Mayo, Trisha Mayo, Tara (Aaron) Lowe, Tessa (Steven) McGowan, Tyler Jacobs, Kayla Knox, Jonah Knox, Jacob Knox, Mary Cable, Lily Mayo
Sisters-in-law: Theresa Rains, Thelma Holt Lassiter, Carol Berg Lassiter, Beverly Reed Lassister, Louise Mooneyham Mayo; Very Special Cousin: Gwen Reed. 13 Great Grandchildren also survive.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Payton Brandon & Lurette Curlee Lassister; husband, Jacky H. Mayo; In-laws, Burley & Sarah Mayo; Great Grandchild, Morgan Elizabeth Mayo; Siblings, William “Bill” Lassister, Ralph (Ann) Whittemore, James K. “Buddy” Lassister and Brothers-in-law, Evert Mayo and Alfred “Dump” Rains.
She was a member of the New Hope Church of Christ and was a door greeter at Walmart.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016 at New Hope Church of Christ with Bro. Herb Alsup officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5 pm until 9 pm Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016 at Woodbury Funeral Home and will lie in state from 1 pm until 2 pm Sunday at New Hope Church of Christ. Pallbearers include Gwen Reed, James Maxwell, Don Northcutt, Barry Jones, Aaron Lowe, Tony Brown & Jason Holt. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Curlee Cemetery Fund
