Willie Smithson Obituary

Willie Adron Smithson, 79, of Manchester passed away Tues., July 31, 2018 at St. Thomas Rutherford following an extended illness.  He was a native of Cannon Co.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Martha Melina Lewis Smithson of Manchester; sons, Paul (Robin) Smithson of Manchester and Brad (Laurie) Smithson of Murfreesboro; 7 Grandchildren, Caleb (Amelia) Smithson, Jacob, Katie, Jedidiah, Brooke, Lara Kate & Luke Smithson; 2 Great Grandchildren,  Gwen & Maddie Smithson; siblings, Myrna (Jackie) Rogers and Arna (Teena) Smithson both of Woodbury. 
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Annie Merriman Smithson.
 
Mr. Smithson was a member of the Westwood Church of Christ in Tullahoma, the Woodbury Lions Club and the Volkswagen Club. He was a veteran of the Army during Korea and retired grocery store owner.
 
Funeral Services will be 2 pm Friday, August 3, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Ben Bunting and Caleb Smithson officiating.  Military Honors will follow in the Riverside Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 4 pm to 9 pm Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018.
