William Ray Hale

William Ray Hale, age 56, of Woodbury passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.  He was born to his parents, William Paul & Stella Mai Gilley Hale on June 5, 1966 in Rutherford Co.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Michelle Davenport Hale of Woodbury; Children, Nicholas Paul Hale of Woodbury and Rachel Nicole (Gabriel Chavez) Hale of Cookeville; Sister, Kay Harris of Beech Grove; and Close Friend, Timmy Richards.

Ray was a carpenter and built three lock-and-key houses in Woodbury.  He enjoyed camping with his family, horseback riding, and loved his game roosters.

Funeral Services will be at 2:30 PM Saturday, January 21, 2023 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating.  Interment will follow in the Hale Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends for the visitation from 4 PM to 8 PM Friday, January 20, 2023.
