Wayne Merriman, age 85, of Woodbury passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023 at St. Thomas West Hospital. He was born on July 16, 1938 to his parents, Walter & Martha Mathis Merriman in Cannon County.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rachel Thomas Merriman of Woodbury; Children, Christy Shultz of Woodbury & Devin (Molly) Merriman of Smithville; Grandchildren, Deonna Shultz, George Shultz, Colton Merriman, Reagan Merriman, & Carter Merriman; Siblings, Linda (Donald) Foster of McMinnville, Joe Don (Brenda) Merriman of Woodbury, Ann Prater of McMinnville, & Jimmy (Kathryn) Merriman of McMinnville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Wavil Alford.
Wayne retired from Carrier Corporation as a forklift driver. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, racing cars, and playing ball with his grandkids.
Graveside Services will be at 10 AM Monday, July 24, 2023 at Pleasant View Cemetery with Bro. Charlie Bowman officiating. The family will receive friends for his visitation from 3 PM to 8 PM Sunday, July 23, 2023.
