Wanda "Ma" Louise (Parker) Burks

Wanda "Ma" Louise Parker Burks, age 78, of Bradyville passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at her home.  She was born to her parents, Alvie & Julie Williams Parker on June 18, 1947 in Cannon County.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Russell Burks of Bradyville; Son & Daughter-in-law, Terry & Chassity Burks of Bradyville; Grandson, J'Khari Burks of Bradyville; Chosen Grandson, Austin (Ally) Sissom of Tellico Plains; and Brother, Zenith (Martha) Parker of Woodbury.  Many nieces & nephews also survive.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Clyde (Mary) Parker, Joe (Joyce) Parker, Junior Parker, Wayne Parker, Juanita (Charles) Youngblood. 

Wanda was retired from Whirlpool and was a member of the Hollow Springs Community Church.  She was a devoted caregiver and loved cooking for her family and just being with her family.  They all affectionately called her "Ma". Wanda had a servants heart and everyone was welcomed in her home with an abundance of love and understanding. 

Funeral Services will be at 11 am Friday, November 14, 2025 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Sissom & Bro. James Caudill officiating. Interment will follow at Gilley Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends for the visitation from 3 pm to 8 pm Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Woodbury Funeral Home.  

Pallbearers will be Austin Sissom, Dek Sissom, Adam Williams, J'Khari Burks and Bobby Simpson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gilley Hill Cemetery.
