Wanda Faye Sweeney

Wanda Faye Sweeney, 74, of Bradyville, TN., passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025 at St. Thomas Midtown. A native of Bryson City, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Odell Medlin and Ruby Davis Medlin.

She is survived by her children, Ruth Evelyn Lynch and Kimberly Schall both of N.C. and Tanya (David) Suiter of Bradyville; grandchildren, Zandra Lynch, Angel Schall, Christina Schall, Kevin Bell and James Bell; great grandchildren, Nevaeh Lynch, Faithlynn Lynch, Timothy Nicholson and many other great grandchildren; sister, Vanessa Lubarsky and nephews, Donnie, Jerry and Jeremy Lubarsky. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Alice Sweeney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy A. Sweeney, Jr.

Ms. Sweeney was a homemaker and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her little sister, Vanessa, was her number one fan. She raised chickens and lived a full life with her grandchildren and great grandchildren being her greatest joy in life.

Ms. Sweeney will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
