Thelma Ruth (Patrick) Davenport

Thelma Ruth Patrick Davenport, 90, of Auburntown passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025 at her home. Born in Cannon Co., she was the daughter of the late Willie Robert and Johnnie Bell Pitts Patrick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Curtis Davenport and her siblings, Robbie Owen and Frank Patrick.

Mrs. Ruth is survived by her husband of 72 years, Marvin H. Davenport of Auburntown; son, Mitchell Ray (Veronica) Davenport of Hoover, AL.; daughter-in-law, Kathy Davenport of Woodbury; siblings, Prentice Ray (Mary Anna) Patrick and Betty (Terry) Thomas both of Auburntown; grandchildren, Teresa (Patrick) Smith, James (Shana) Davenport; Kelsey (Josh) Reed, Caleb (Emily) Davenport; great grandchildren, Isaac, Malorie and Aiden Reed, Hensley Phillips.

A member of the Forest Mill Baptist church, she was a beloved homemaker. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, reading, talking on the phone and shopping. Most of all, she loved spending time making memories with her family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 14, 2025 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Patrick and Bro. John Daniel officiating. Interment will follow in Reed cemetery.

Her family will receive friends, Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.
