Sue Ellen Bownes

Sue Ellen Bownes, 58, of Woodbury passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, June 3, 2026.  She was born in Orlando, FL., the daughter of Ollie Garrison of Murfreesboro and the late Sammine Chauncey Garrison.  

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, David Bownes of Woodbury; son, Nick (Katie) Bownes of MN.; sister, Cindy Schroeder of Woodbury; brothers, Lonnie Garrison, and Sean Garrison both of Murfreesboro and Matthew Garrison of Antioch; 2 grandchildren, Abbi Bownes and Emma Bownes.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A member of the Blue Wing Baptist church, Sue Ellen was a homemaker.  

The Bownes family will recieve friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M, Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Woodbury Funeral Home.  Graveside services will follow at 2:30 P.M. at Prater cemetery with Bro. Coby Mooneyham officiating.
