Sara Sue Barrett Knox

Sara Sue Barrett Knox, age 90, of Woodbury passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Woodbury Health and Rehab. She was born to her parents, the late James Nathaniel and Rilla Borren Barrett.

She is survived by her children, Larry (Becky) Knox of Readyville, Billy (Angela) Knox of Woodbury; grandchildren Jessica Knox, Kayla Knox, Jonah (Lauren) Knox, Jacob (Amelia) Knox and Jeffery St. John; great grandchildren; Lydia, Lucy and Lee Knox; and her best friend and cousin Shirley Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Allen Knox; her siblings, Bragg Barrett, Bobby Barrett, Leo Barrett, Nell Barrett, Phemia Howeth, and Rachel Simmons.

Mrs. Knox was a member of the Bethlehem church of Christ and was retired from Colonial Corporation. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup officiating. Interment will follow at Thyatira cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Monday, September 8, 2025.
