Sandra Satchell Obituary

Sandra Lee Satchell, 85, of Woodbury passed away at her home Friday, April 3, 2026.  Born in Merna, Nebraska, she was the daughter of the late Loren Jackson and Helen Dresp.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Allan Satchell, Sr.

Ms. Satchell is survived by her children, Allan L. Satchell of Hollowayville, IL., Gerald Eugene Satchell (Katie) of Baytown, TX., Shannon Kay Stanfield (J.D.) of Woodbury; 3 grandsons, Jason Allan Satchell, Anthony DeWayne Satchell and Matthew LeRoy Satchell (Patience) aall of Baytown, TX., and her sister, Helen Jackson of Omaha, NB. Also surviving are 7 great grandchildren.

A member of the Woodbury United Methodist church, she was retired from Woodbury Health and Rehab where she worked in the Dietary dept.  Ms. Satchell had a true servants heart and loved her church friends and thought of them as family.  She loved to volunteer as that was her true calling.  She won the 2025 Volunteer of the Year at the Cannon County Senior Center and she also volunteered through numerous other organizations including working at her church thirft store. She enjoyed her vegtable and flower gardens, sewing and being a member of the Adams Library Book Club.

Her family will recieve friends Thursday, April 9, 2025 beginning at 3:00 P.M. and funeral services will follow at 4:00 P.M. at Woodbury United Methodist church.  Pastor David Lilly will officiate.  Interment will follow at Cherry cemetery.
