Rovin Dorris "Dusty" Rhodes

Rovin Dorris “Dusty” Rhodes, 83, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at his home in Lebanon. Born in Rutherford Co., he was the son of the late Rovin C. Rhodes and Callie Comer Rhodes.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Allie Estes Rhodes of Lebanon, his children, Rovin Dorris (Brenda) Rhodes, Jr. of Henderson, TN. and Debbie (Stacy) Wooden of Lebanon; grandchildren, Alicia (Jessey) Ambrose, Daniel Wooden, Seth (Amber) Rhodes, Erin (William) Jefferson, Zachariah Rhodes and his special adopted family, Margaret and Bryan Parker. Several great grandchildren also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Micah Rhodes and siblings, Curtis Rhodes, Gail Rhodes, Donald Rhodes and Ronald Rhodes.

The Rhodes family would like to thank his caregivers, Cecelia Horne, Dr. Thomas Kowal, Dr. Schleicher, Dr. Peyton, TN. Oncology and Gentiva Hospice.

Dusty was a retired lock master at US Army Corps of Engineers and a veteran of the United States Navy and served during Vietnam. Formally the worship leader at different churches, he was an experienced guitar player and taught many kids how to play over the years. Most of all he was a wonderful husband, dad and prankster.

His family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Woodbury Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 5:00 P.M. at Bradley Creek Cemetery with Bro. Bryan Parker officiating.
