Richard “Ricky” T. Sizemore, 63, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 at his home in Readyville with his wife by his side. He was a native of Bryson City, NC.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Lynn Sizemore; children, Chris (Shannon) Sizemore and Michael (Brandi) Sizemore; grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew and Michael Sizemore; siblings, Tony (Shari) Morgan; niece, Ashley (Justin) Todd; nephews, Clay (Leah) Sizemore and Joseph (Kelsey) Morgan; mother-in-law, Sharon Johnson; sisters-in-law, Lisa DePane, and Lori Patton and brother-in-law, Lars Johnson. Also surviving is his best friend, Harley and his extended family in Cherokee, NC.
Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, Joe Frank Morgan and Jean Faulk Morgan; brother, Greg Sizemore; great niece, Paisley Todd and father-in-law, Ronald Johnson.
He worked as a carpenter most of his life until he became disabled. He would help anyone if he was able. His passion was to cook. He didn’t even cook for two, he cooked for everyone.
The Sizemore family will hold a Celebration of Life to honor Ricky at a later date.
