Peggy Joyce (Mercer) Thomas

Peggy Joyce Mercer Thomas, 79, passed away Thurs., February 06, 2020 at St. Thomas Rutherford.  She was a native of Jackson Co., Tn.

She is survived by her sons, Donnie (Lisa) Thomas of Woodbury and Daryl Thomas of IL.; grandchildren, Amber (Jay) Harlan, Jason (Jeanetta) Thomas, Jeremy Thomas, Donnie Thomas Jr., Christopher Thomas, Amber (Caleb) Milligan, Erica Martin and Tyler Martin; special cousin, Ted Barnhill of FL. Several great grandchildren also survive.
 
Ms. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie & Lula Mercer; her husband, Donald Buford Thomas; and her daughter, Cheryl Appleby.
 
A member of the Methodist Church, Peggy was retired from Genesco as a Receptionist.  She loved her family and her grandchildren were the most special to her. 
 
Funeral Services will be 11 am Wed., February 12, 2020 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at 2:30 pm at Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, Tn.  37216  Visitation with her family will be from 4 pm until 8 pm., Tuesday, February 11, 2020.
