Peggy J. (Parker) Manus

Peggy J. Manus, 69, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Woodbury, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020 at St. Thomas – Rutherford.  She was born in Rutherford Co.

She is survived by her son, George W. Manus, Jr. of Murfreesboro; siblings, Roy Parker, Shirley Dodson and Betty Moorehead all of Nashville and chosen family, Vickie Amis and Greg Nowak both of Murfreesboro.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lizzie Brown Parker and her husband, George W. Manus, Sr.
 
A retired seamstress, Ms. Manus loved people and was everyone’s mama and friend.  She loved spending time with her son, George, and her beloved dogs, Max and Olivia.  She was of the southern Baptist faith. 
 
Funeral Services will be 11 am Friday, Aug. 7, 2020 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be Thursday, Aug. 6, 2020 from 4 pm until 8 pm.
