Oleta (Morris) Guthmiller

Oleta Morris Guthmiller, 88 of Chattanooga passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Life Care Center of Collegedale.

Born in the Gassaway community, she was the daughter of Thel Morris, Sr. and Frances Young Morris. She was number nine of ten children. She graduated from Woodbury CHS Class of 1955. She was retired from AT&T. She enjoyed traveling and visiting many countries in Europe and the Orient.

She is survived by brother Hal Morris of Chattanooga and her loving care giver Bill Covington and his family.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by husband Bud Guthmiller and siblings Christine, Vertrese, Jenny, Winnie, Minnie, Quention, Brent and Thel, Jr.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 23, 2025 in the Riverside Gardens with Bro. Herb Alsup officiating.
