The gates of heaven opened today to allow Olean the opportunity to come home. She was born Ocober 2, 1929 in Bradyville to Ivy Monroe "Buster" Bush and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Stacey Bush. Olean married McDonald "Mack" Markum in 1951 and they raised 4 children. She worked in the Cannon County school system as a cafeteria cook for over 25 years. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening and being with her family. Olean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 2 daughters, Glenda O. Mullican and Susan E. Melton.
Susvivors include 2 sons, Perry M. Markum (Linda) of Woodbury and Larry Markum of Murfreesboro; 4 grandchildren, Belinda Ruth, Adam and Alan Melton and Andrew Mullican of McMinnville. Also surviving are 5 great grandchildren. A special thank you to the Woodbury Nursing Center and all the great Staff.
Graveside services will be 2:30 PM Tuesday February 11 at Gilley Hill Cemetery with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be from 12 "Noon " until 2:00 PM Tuesday at Woodbury Funeral Home.
