Norman Ray Brown, age 79, of Woodbury passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025 at St. Thomas Stones River Hospital. Born in Cannon Co., he was the son of the late Bob and Maggie Gunter Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Connie Jean Phelps Brown of Woodbury; daughters, Jennifer (Sam) Morris of Woodbury and Rhonda Merriman Davis of Manchester; grandchildren, Dalton (Keragan) Morris of Morrison, Emily Morris (Nick Phillips) of Woodbury, Trent Jones of Murfreesboro and Trey Jones of Manchester. 5 great grandchildren also survive.
Norman was a member of the Baptist church and a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Wright Brothers Construction where he worked for 35 years as a oiler and diesel mechanic. He loved to cook, watch any sports and he enjoyed playing golf.
His family will receive friends Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 28, 2025 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Watkins officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Gardens cemetery. Pallbearers include Shane and Shannon Gannon, Danny and Chris Brown, Dee and Shawn Gunter.
