Nathaniel Underwood

Nathaniel Underwood, 72, of McMinnville passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at St Thomas Rutherford. Born in Cannon Co., he was the son of the late Albert and Alberta Manus Underwood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Robert Underwood, Don Carlos Underwood and Jerry Wayne Underwood.

He is survived by his children, , Bridget (Mitch) Duggin of Woodbury, Anthony (Jodie) Underwood, Jared (Lizzie) Underwood, Jordan(Michelle) Underwood and Jenna Underwood (Steve Haney) all of McMinnville; grandchildren, Brittany and Brady Duggin, A.J., Jessica, Jayton, Jacoby, Jeremiah, Jebsen, James, Jasper, Josiah, Abby and Dalton Underwood, Jadelyn and Jesly Haney; great grandchildren, Isaiah and Blazelan Cantrell, Mattlynn Dunn, Noah Merriman and Gracie Swan Underwood and brother, David (Darlene) Underwood.

A member of the Baptist church, he was retired from Carrier Corporation where he was a crane operator. Nathaniel loved to dress up and go places often being known as “sharp dressed man”. He made baskets, enjoyed whittling, and spending time at the Warren Co. Senior Center.

His family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 A.M. Sunday, September 28, 2025. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at a later date at Center Hill cemetery.
