Nancy Richardson Obituary

Nancy Lee Richardson, 57, of Woodbury passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024 at her home.  A native of Scranton, PA., she is the daughter of Nancy (Ronald) Caines Berger of Moscow, PA., and the late Arthur Richardson.

In addition to her mother and stepfather, she is survived by her children, Jason Bond of Murfreesboro and Samantha (Joshua) Arman of Winter Garden, FL.; grandsons, Benjamin Arman and Beckham Arman; siblings, Arthur (Lynette0 Richardson, Sharon Christian, Stephen Richardson, and Patricia (Roy) Dickerson all of PA; niece and nephew, Tiffany (Joshua) Turner and Matthew Richardson.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her siblings, John Richardson and Margaret Richardson and nephew, Blaine Christian.

Nancy was a member of a national gymnastics team and went on to capture a bronze medal in an all-around competition at the national level.

She began her health care career at Middle Tennessee Medical center at which time she attended nursing school and obtained her LPN license and continued her career in various health care arenas. In 2010 she began her career with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee. Her ultimate goal was to become a Registered Nurse which she successfully achieved in 2022. She was so proud of that accomplishment. Nancy thrived in the Blue Cross community where she was always willing to jump in to help anyone in need. She participated in many volunteer endeavors both in and out of her community. She will be forever in the hearts of her Blue Cross Blue shield family.

Nancy had many interests but one of her favorites was comedy she could light up a room with her big smile and infectious laugh. One of her favorite comedians was Louis CK. Her laugh was infectious.

For Nancy, at the end of the day, her love revolved around her family. There were no boundaries that would prevent her from standing alongside them. Her children meant the world to her. When her grand children were born she glowed. She relished being GiGi and loving those boys as much as they loved her. She will be so truly missed in their little lives. God bless us all, for the world is a sadder, lonelier place without the love of Nancy.
