Michael James Perry was born on August 17, 1957, in Davison, Michigan to the union of Robert Perry and Betty (Adams) Perry. Following his high school graduation, Michael enlisted in the United States Navy proudly serving his country for eight years.
After his honorable discharge, Michael devoted thirty years to Ford Motor Company, where he worked in quality control, demonstrating his commitment to excellence and hard work. On November 3, 1989, he married his beloved wife, the former Betty Neal, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship.
Michael had a passion for genealogy, dedicating countless hours to researching and building his family tree. He took great joy in connecting with his relatives and, after completing his own lineage, turned his attention to tracing Betty's family roots as well.
An enthusiastic fan of the Detroit Lions, Michael looked forward to game day, relishing the camaraderie and excitement they brought. He also found peace and joy in nature, often enjoying the birds that visited his window, reflecting his appreciation for the beauty around him.
Michael James Perry, aged 67, passed away on Wednesday; April 30, 2025, at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His passing was preceded by his parents: Robert Perry and Betty Ash; and three siblings: Mark Perry, Lynn Perry and Laurie Siegler.
To cherish his memory, Michael leaves his beloved wife: Betty Perry; four siblings: Steven Ash, Jeff Ash, Kris Cowan, and Barb McCrea; and his loving furry companions: Sophie, Zoe, and Dolly. Michael James Perry will be remembered for his dedication to family, his love of history, and his unwavering spirit.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Woodbury Funeral Home from 11 am to 1 pm. Funeral Services will be at 1 pm in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Gunter Grizzle Cemetery.
