Mary Pauline (Midgett) Smotherman

   Mary Pauline Midgett Smotherman, age 81, died Saturday September 5, 2020 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro.  She was a native of Rutherford County, a member of the baptist church and retired from GE as a motor inspector.  

   Mrs. Smotherman is survived by her grandchildren:  Jeff Williams, Patricia Parker, Paula Williams, Jonathan Cooper, Shane Waters, Nicholas Smotherman, Brian, Mary and Jason Gatboys.  Also surviving are many great grandchildren.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Rutherford Midgett and Elisa Viola Midgett, her husband, Charles Smotherman, her children, Sandra V. Smith, Deborah M. Waters, Glen R. Smotherman and Randall C. Smotherman and her siblings, James R. Midgett, Ruth Fults and Peggy Faulk.

   Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday September 8, 2020 at Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro with Ora Lee Mosley officiating.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM Tuesday.
