Mary Evelyn Woods Leeman, 84, of Murfreesboro passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro. Born in Rutherford Co., she was the daughter of the late Clyde Woods and Ora Mae Fann McClaran. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Leeman; infant son, Jeffery Stembridge; siblings, Ray Woods and Shirley Harrell; and nephew, Michael Woods.
She is survived by her children, Darlene (Dewayne) Gilley of Woodbury and Terry (Sonya) Leeman of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Brandon (Marie) Taylor, Brandie (Nathan) Pendergrast, Brad Leeman, Jacqueline (Anthony) Micetich; great grandchildren, Maggie Beth Taylor, Kaylie Pendergrast, Madison Taylor, Brylee Jean Taylor and Henry Micetich.
A member of the Third Baptist church of Murfreesboro, she was retired from General Electric. She also drove for several car dealerships in Murfreesboro. She had many hobbies including traveling in the RV and fishing with her husband;her flowers, watching gameshows and QVC She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Atlanta Braves and women’s basketball. Most of all she loved her church friends and spending time making memories with her family.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 16, 2025 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Hudson officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Gardens cemetery.
Her family will receive friends, Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.
