Marie (Davis) Rogers

Marie Davis Rogers, 80, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 at St. Thomas West. She was born in Cannon Co, Tn.

Survivors include her son, Jr. Davis of Woodbury; grandchildren, Miranda Johnson of Woodbury, Josh Davis of Centertown, Ethan Curtis of Woodbury and Kelli Davis of Murfreesboro; great grandchildren, Austin Johnson, Avery Johnson and Presley Jackson; brother, Larry Emberton of Bradyville; niece and nephew, Jeff (Lisa) Davis and Rebecca (Brian) Womack and cousins, Tommy and Bobby Barber

She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse Lee and Mary Etta Adcock Emberton; husbands, Edward “Buck” Davis and Jimmy Rogers; daughter, Teresa Diane Higgins and sisters, Mary Elizabeth Melton and Wilma Davis.

A member of the Elkins church of Christ, Marie and her husband, Buck, was well known for the beautiful furniture they made including chairs and tables.  She enjoyed fishing and going to the lake with her second husband, Jimmy.  She also loved to bowl, go to flea markets, gardening and growing flowers.  She took the most pride in raising her family, being the caretaker for her grandchildren spoiling and cooking for them.  That is where she showed her love the most. 
 
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 7, 2023 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Norman Pelham officiating.  Interment will follow in the Blue Wing Cemetery.  Pallbearers include Josh Davis, Ethan Curtis, Austin Johnson, Andy Davis, Brian Womack and Jeff Davis.
 
Visitation with her family will be Friday, January 6, 2023, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
