Margaret Fuqua Sparkman, 85, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023 at her home in McMinnville. It was her birthday. Born September 21, 1938 in White Co., TN., she was the daughter of the late Fred Albert Fuqua and Agnes Lucille Bryant Fuqua.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Sparkman of McMinnville; daughters, Kim (Barry) Hollis, Lisa Haile, and Shana (Alan) Watson all of McMinnville; grandchildren, Ryan (Jami) Dunlap, Terran Dunlap, Brooke (Dusty) Robinson, Sterling (Jennifer) McClain, Brock (Shelbi) Watson and Jalen Watson; siblings, Bill (Carolyn) Fuqua of Rock Island, John Fuqua of McMinnville, Bettie Hunley of Murfreesboro, Brenda (Dennis) Waggoner of McMinnville and Steve Fuqua of Woodbury. Numerous great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson also survive. Additionally many nieces and nephews who also loved her dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Linda Fuqua, Charles Fuqua, Mary Garrett, Gloria Johnson, Freddy Fuqua, Donna Thomas and Sherry Gilley.
A member of the First Baptist church of McMinnville, Margaret was a God fearing woman and a pristine homemaker. She was a fantastic cook and loved hosting family nights on Sundays. She enjoyed shopping, playing cards and dominos. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, .
Graveside services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Gardens of Memory in McMinnville with Bro. Anthony Campbell officiating.
