Lionel John Bourgeois

Lionel John Bourgeois, age 78, of Woodbury passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at Woodbury Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was a native of Vicksburg, MS. 
 

He was survived by his wife of 37 1/2 years, Lynn Watson Bourgeois of Woodbury; Children, Beverly (John) Lasseigne of Grossetete, LA, Brandon Bourgeois of Baker, LA, Todd (Jennifer) Maddox of Yorkville, IL, & Andrew Bourgeois of Woodbury; 15 Grandchildren, Heather, Kristiana, Justin, Katie, Bradley, Heidi, John, Gregory, Fawn, Destiny, Adleigh, Brendon, Remy, Dalton, & Tristan; Brother, Joe F. (Judy) Bourgeois of Baton Rouge, LA; Sister, Teresa Y. Bourgeois of Zachary, LA. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lionel Bourgeois & Carolyn McCaleb Bourgeois; son, Timothy J. Bourgeois; and brothers, Phillip Bourgeois & James Bourgeois. 

John was a insurance salesman & was a supervisor at MTSU. He was also the owner of the leather shop at the flea market in town. He enjoyed playing saxophone & he played with the McMinnville Silver & Gold Band, the South Jackson Street Dance Orchestra, and the Tennessee Valley Winds. 

Funeral Services will be at 11 AM Thursday, April 29, 2021 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Riverside Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for the visitation from 3 PM to 9 PM Wednesday, April 28, 2021 & from 9 AM until time of the service Thursday. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pat Summitt Association for Alzheimer's or American Diabetes Association.
