Lanny Martindale

Lanny Martindale, 68, of Bay St. Louis, MS., passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Wyandotte, MI. on April 10, 1957 to his parents, the late Marion Douglas Martindale and Opal Ervin Martindale.

He is survived by his wife, Violeta Martindale; his children, Amanda (Trenton) Ferrell, Sara (Brian) Judkins, Jesse Martindale and Cody Martindale; stepchildren, Maychelle G. Bangiacan, Sheryl G. Ngagan, Vincent Gamboa, and Aihleen Gamboa; siblings, Drue Ann (Edwin) Huddleston, Charles (Fay) Martindale and Larry (Judy) Martindale; grandchildren, Addison Bogle, LauraBeth (William) Fly, Kyle Judkins, Emily (Peyton) Rudisill, Austin and Tinsley Ferrell. Lanny is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Lanny was a beloved husband, daddy, grandpa, brother and a friend to many. He was a Christian and used to enjoy playing the drums in several gospel groups when he was younger. He was the best grandpa his grandkids could ever ask for. He was a master of all trades. You could find him most of the time outside tinkering on old cars and trucks. He was a great carpenter as well. He loved the ocean, the coast, seafood and traveling. He was a simple man but loved life and always lived it to the fullest. All his life, he worked hard, loved hard and he fought hard to the very end. Now Heaven is his reward.

His family will receive friends Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Gardens cemetery.
