Joseph Labern Bowling, 31, passed away at his home in McMinnville, Monday, May 20, 2024. He was born in Nashville, TN., the son of Labern (Cary) Bowling of Tullahoma and Jeannie (Clint) Walker of Manchester.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 9 years, McKenzie Mitton Bowling of McMinnville; his children, Tucker and Sadie Bowling of McMinnville; sisters, Marsha Bowling and Mandy (Jared) McCain both of Manchester; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Judy Mitton of Woodbury; grandpa, Papaw Ronnie Miller of Woodbury and sister-in-law, Mandy (Andy) Kerperien of Murfreeboro. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Joseph worked for Sherrill Pest Control. He enjoyed supporting his community, coaching his son in sports including baseball, football and basketball. The “selfie King” was always the comedian and loved to keep everyone laughing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially McKenzie and the kids.
“It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone. Part of us went with you, the day God took you home.”
A Celebration of Life will be held June 1, 2024 from 12:00 noon until 3:00 P.M. at Rustic Elegance, 1751 Doolittle Rd. Woodbury, TN. 37190
