John Richard Pitts

John Richard Pitts, Jr. 62, of Woodbury passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023 at his home. Born in Murfreesboro, he was the son of the late John and Kay Puckett Pitts. 

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Phillips Pitts of Woodbury; daughters, Cassandra Pitts, Sydney Pitts, Wendy (Ryan) Gannon of Woodbury; grandchildren, Gunner Campbell and Madelyn Gannon; siblings, Kathy Gannon of Kittrell, Shirley Howard of Murfreesboro, Jimmy (Sonia) Pitts of Readyville, Dan (Cindy) Pitts of Belvidere, Adam (Michelle) Pitts of Smithville.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.

A member of the church of Christ, John was a home builder and worked in construction. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 9, 2023 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Adam Pitts officiating.  Interment will follow in the Elkins Cemetery.  Pallbearers include Ryan Gannon, Clint Blanton, Jimmy Nichols, Jimmy Pitts, Dan Pitts, Adam Pitts and David Markum. 

Visitation with his family will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, October 8, 2023.
