Joan Reed Rich, 73, passed away at her home in Woodbury, Monday, March 30, 2026 surrounded by her family. Born in Cannon County, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Reed and Mazel Phillips Reed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dale Reed and Bruce Reed.
Mrs. Rich is survived by her husband of 56 years, Larry Rich of Woodbury; her children, Charlie Rich and Tracey (Jeff) Reed of Woodbury; grandsons, Christian Rich, Nicholas (Caitlin) Reed and Blake (Etta) Reed all of Woodbury and her brother, David (Rachel) Reed of Murfreesboro. She is also survived by many cousins who were as close as siblings to her.
A member of the Smith Grove Church of Christ, Joan was a former bookkeeper at Reed Sawmill and Jerry Pelham’s Auto Salvage. She retired from Perfect Equipment. She loved to go shopping, crochet and cross stitch. She loved her family and enjoyed making memories with them.
Her family will receive friends, Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 3, 2026 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Al Bugg officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant View cemetery.
Pallbearers include Christian Rich, Nicholas Reed, Blake Reed, Kyle Van Patten, Anthony Reed and Brian Reed.
