Jimmy Eugene Lowery

Jimmy Eugene Lowery, 69, of Murfreesboro passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Veteran’s Medical Center in Nashville.

He is survived by his daughters, Tammy (Jason) Davidson of Hillsboro, Cathy (Rich) Abel of OH, and Glenda Morrison of Woodbury; grandchildren, Braden Davidson, Brittany (Andrew) Tucci and Kailey Abel; siblings, Martha Cawthon, Robert Lowery, Grady (Lucy) Lowery, Thomas Lowery and Michael Lowery all of Murfreesboro and Jerry (Beth) Lowery  of Phonenix, AZ.; his friend and mother of his children, Deborah Gilley. Also surviving are 3 great grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Fannie Barrett Lowery; his wife, Patty Lowery and his brother, Johnny Lowery.

Jimmy was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the Marines where he served during the Vietnam era.  He was a farmer most of his life and he milked cows. He loved his family, his siblings and his dog he lovingly called, Girl.  He enjoyed visiting with his fellow veterans over the years. Above everything else, his grandson, Braden was the light of his life.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 19, 2023 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Barrett officiating. Interment will follow in Manus cemetery.

Visitation with his family will be Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.
