Jan Powell

Jan Powell, age 69 was born August 5, 1955 and passed away June 7, 2025. She was a member of the Church of Christ. 

She was the daughter of the late Bratten and Ann Sparkman Powell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Jill Nichols. 

She is survived by her sisters Joy Powell Evans (Joel) of McMinnville, Jackie Powell of Woodbury; nieces Julie Evans LaForte (John) of Florida, Jenifer Evans Walker (Ryan) of McMinnville and Sara Tenpenny (Alex) of Woodbury; great nieces and nephews Halle LaForte, Waylan Walker, Frankie Walker, Caraline and Emry Tenpenny; aunt Ruth Walp of Memphis; brother-in-law Robert Nichols; also several cousins survive.

Jan worked many years at Oster in McMinnville and retired for Nissan Corp. She enjoyed gardening and canning.

Her family will receive friends, Tuesday June 10, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M and Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Graveside services will be Wednesday June 11, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Powell family Cemetery.  Pallbearers include Sammy Powell, Darryl Young, Ty Fann, Trey Fann, Ryan Walker and John LaForte.
