James Sanford Vance

James Sanford Vance, 91, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019 at his home. 

He is survived by his sons Russell (Glena) Vance of Woodbury, Roger (Lana) Vance of Manchester; grandchildren, James Carrick and Abi-Gail Jernigan; great grand children; sister in law Mamie Vance; best friend, Iva Higgins and several nieces and nephews also survive.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Callie Duggin Vance and Enzo Vance; his wife Eleanor Jean Vance; and brother Hoyte Vance.

He was a former preacher at Coopers Chapel in Smithville TN, he worked over 40 years at Colonial Shirt Factory. James loved to fish, watch birds and building bird houses.

Funeral Services will be 2 pm Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Plainview Baptist Church with Bro. Jonathon Womack and Bro. Charley Heath officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3 pm - 8 pm Monday, November 25, 2019 at Woodbury Funeral Home and 12 pm until time of service Tuesday at Plainview Baptist Church..
