James Joplin

James Joplin, 63, of Woodbury passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at St. Thomas Rutherford.  He was born in Charleston, WV, the son of the late James Joplin and Phyllis Sayre.

 He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Donna Joplin of Woodbury; his children,  children, Kelsey Clark and Jimmy Joplin; grandchildren, Cameron Clark, Nate Ellis, Luke Clark, Benjamin Clark, Kolby Smith, Savannah Lemons and Caleb Goddard. Mr. Joplin was 1 of 10 siblings.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacey Joplin.

James retired as an E7 from the US Army where he served for 37 years and was a member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Assoc. After retirement from the military, he was a furnace operator at Kenne Metal.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating.  Interment will follow in Riverside Gardens cemetery with military honors.
 
Visitation will be Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 11 am until his time of service at 2 pm.
