Geraldine (Jernigan) Parton

Geraldine "Mama G." Jernigan Parton, age 86, of Morrison passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital.

Survivors include her children, Suzeann (David) Coffey of Smyrna, Holly (Tom) Genovese of Readyville, Kimberly George of Chapel Hill, & Lisa (Darrell) Adams of Morrison; Grandchildren, Brian (Pamela) Coffey, Thomas (Jamie) Genovese, Jackie (Chris) Sommers, Kayla (Jesse) Whitaker, Patrick (Courtnie) Vest, Buck (Shae) Adams, & Meagan Adams; and Great Grandchildren, Ella Coffey, Katie Coffey, Ryan Sommers, Justin Sommers, Blake Genovese, Mason Vest, Nolan Vest, & Brysen Vest.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm & Velva Reed Jernigan; and her son-in-law, Jeff George.

Geraldine was a member of the church of Christ and enjoyed cooking for her family, reading books, and tending to and growing her flowers.  She was a home provider, a restaurant manager, and was the best Mama G. ever.

Funeral Services will be 1 PM Saturday, May 8, 2021 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Thyatira Cemetery.  The family will receive friends for the visitation from 11 AM to 1 PM Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Woodbury Funeral Home.
