Garry Dale Gannon, 63, of Naples, FLorida passed away peacefully in the arms of his wife, Ann, at Avow Hospice House in Naples. He fought for 11 years battling cancer, but it was a battle he could not win. He was the son of the late Clarence and Georgia Gannon.
Garry is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Ann; his sister, Claire (Butch) Hahn of Murfreesboro; brother, Steve (Rhonda) Gannon of McMinnville and nephew, Michael (Robbie) Hahn of Murfreesboro.
Garry loved fishing, farming and UT football, but above all, Ann. He enjoyed the warm sunshine of Florida after retiring from a teaching career in Rutherford County.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 17, 2026, beginning at 1:00 P.M. Memorial service will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Pastor Nate Clark and Marvin Whitworth officiating. As per his wishes, he was cremated.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Garry's name to Avow Hospice House, 1095 Whipporwill Lane, Naples, FL. 34105 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org. These can be also made through Woodbury Funeral Home, 615-563-2311.
