Garlon Wayne Evans

Garlon Wayne Evans, 74, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 at St. Thomas Rutherford.  He was born in Pikeville, Tn., the son of the late Garlon Isal Evans and Vaneda Louise Reedy Evans.

He is survived by his children, Clinton Wayne Evans of Wartrace and Tonya Faye Evans Bedwell of Readyville; stepson, Steven Michael Peden of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Trenton Wayne Bragg of Woodbury and Morgan Lynn Evans of Wartrace and siblings, Lee Evans of Bradyville, Benny Evans and Gail Hall both of Woodbury. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dale Porter.

Mr. Evans was a member of the Baptist church and was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart.  He retired from Nissan and in his spare time he loved hunting and fishing.
 
Graveside services will be 2 pm Monday, April 18, 2022 at Riverside Gardens with Bro. J.W. Bailey officiating.
