Faye (Parton) Burger

Faye Parton Burger, 91, of Woodbury passed away Friday, July 11, 2025 at NHC McMinnville.  Born in Cannon Co., she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Daisy Tucker Parton.  She was married for 50 years to the late James Arlin Burger. 

Ms. Burger is survived by her sons, Lannie (Gay) Burger and Ricky (Jackie) Burger both of Woodbury; grandchildren, Laurie Burger, Jessica (Tim) Akers, Alan (Shelby) Burger, Kayla (Justin) Harris and Brooke (Tyler) Young; great grandchildren, Clayton and Anagail Akers, Jaxon, Britta and Jasen Burger, Kylee and Brayden Harris, Kensley and Saylor Young.  Also surviving is her best friend and special cousin, Naomi Blair.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ellen Blanton, Joann Hancock, Oscar Parton and J.L. Parton.

A member of the Wood Church of Christ, Faye previously worked at Colonial Shirt factory, and she retired from Eastside School where she was a cafeteria cook for 22 years.  For many years, she was the caretaker of Center Hill cemetery.  She enjoyed camping, visiting the nursing home and taking food to the sick.  Ms. Burger lived on a Century Farm and took pride in her yardwork and gardening. 

Her family will receive friends Sunday, July 13, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Monday, July 14, 2025 from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 14, 2025 in Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Gann officiating.  Interment will follow in the Center Hill cemetery.  Pallbearers include Larry Hancock, Gary Hancock, Hugh Parton, Tyler Young, Justin Harris, Tim Howell and Tim Akers.
