Evelyn Jane Pyles

Evelyn Jane Pyles, 98, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at her home in McMinnville, TN.  She was a native of OK., the daughter of James and Emily Nance.

She is survived by her husband, Carl F. Vetter, Jr. of McMinnville, her son, James Turner of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, grandson Scott Turner, granddaughters, Laura and Melinda Turner. Also surviving are several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dwight Turner and grandson, Michael Turner.

A member of the New Short Mtn. Methodist church, she was a veteran of WWII. While serving in the Army, she was the secretary for the Provost Marshall.  Ms. Pyles was a housewife and enjoyed gardening.

Visitation with her family will be after 10:00 AM Friday, July 28, 2023 with funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home.  Bro. Josh Newberry will officiate her service. Internment will follow in Riverside Gardens cemetery.
