Earnest Roy Bogle

Earnest Roy Bogle, 77, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025 at his home in Manchester. Born in Auburntown, he was the son of the late Maney Menzee “Bill” Bogle and willie Roberta Walls Bogle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jacky Lynn Bogle; and siblings, Gene Bogle, Rachel Minks, Wiley Bogle, Jerry Bogle and Carl Vernon Bogle.

He is survived by his friend and caregiver, Regina McWhorter; children, Tammy Bogle and Earnest Bogle, Jr.; and his sister, Mildred Davis. Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. A simple man with a big, big heart, he was retired from Samsonite. Earnest loved sports of any kind and would travel to watch them all.

His family will receive friends Wednesday, August 13, 2025 after 12:00 Noon. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Riverside Gardens cemetery.
