Dorothy Jean (Webb) Bragg

Dorothy “Dottie” Jean Webb Bragg, age80, passed peacefully into the loving arms of God on Friday, February 5, 2021.   She lived in Knoxville during the past few years, but Woodbury was her home. She was born on August 13, 1940 to James Carver “JC” and Julia Mae Webb.  She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her loving children, Russell and Doug Jones of Knoxville, TN and Sharon Kay Jones Joyner of Martinsburg, WVa.  Dottie loved her grandchildren Matthew (Kaitlyn) Jones and Grace (Dustin) Warren.  Her great grandsons Emmit and Colt Warren held a special place in her heart.  She is also survived by her sisters Juanella Mason and Cathy Gouge. Dottie’s nieces and nephews, Monica, Melanie, Al and their families were always in her thoughts.

Dottie had many friends in Knoxville and Woodbury.  She loved antiques, crafts, family gatherings, travel, good food and all things country. She also enjoyed fishing. She cherished when family and friends would visit as she enjoyed the conversations and seeing those she loved.   Dottie always greeted everyone with a smile and a hug. You knew you were loved when you were with her as she made you feel special.

The family extends a special thank you to University of Tennessee Medical Center for the excellent care given to Dottie.  The family also wishes to thank, her son, Russell, for his care and support of Dottie during the past 8 years.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 11 am until 2 pm at Woodbury Funeral Home.  Services will be officiated by Bro. Steve Hutson and will follow visitation in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Dottie will be laid to rest in Riverside Gardens following the service.

Due to COVID, the family asks that masks be worn and social distance be observed.
