Dora Jane (Neely) Alsup

Dora Jane Neely Alsup, 98, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Saturday, July 5 2025 with her daughter, Helen by her side. She was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County, TN. and a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Alsup was married for 40 years to the late James “Pete” Alsup and the daughter of the late Richard Edwin and Gladys Hudson Neely. She is survived by sons, James Ray (Peggy) Alsup of Monteagle, TN. and Rick (Cathy) Alsup of Lascassas; daughters, Brenda Alsup Greer (William) and Helen Alsup Young (Jr.) of Lascassas. She has 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 13 great, great grandchildren. She has several surviving sisters and a brother.

She was preceded in death by her oldest grandson, Michael Kevin Greer; 3 brothers and a sister.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Milton Cemetery with Mason DeBerry officiating.
