Claude Vernon Walton, 81, of Bradyville, TN. passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026 at St. Thomas Rutherford ER. Born in Springhill, he was the son of the late Charlie P. Walton and Rena Crafton Walton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret Burr, Nettie Connor, Clara Kencaid and Elizabeth Dofrank and his brothers, Melvin, Charles and James Walton.
He is survived by his wife 60 years, Mary Linda Holt Walton of Bradyville and many nieces and nephews. A member of the Church of Christ, he was a paint and body shop owner for 35 years. He also was a “professional car show winner” with his ’57 Nomad. He enjoyed playing the fiddle, cars, music, mowing his yard and doing work with his tractors.
The Walton family will receive friends Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 3:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 19, 2026 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Al Bugg officiating. Interment will follow in Gilley Hill Cemetery.
