Buddy Mayo Obituary

Buddy Ray Mayo, 80, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024 at St. Thomas Stones River E/R. Born in Cannon Co., he was the son of the late Dave and Annie Mae Ferrell Mayo.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marcia Prater Mayo of Woodbury; children, Stephen (Regina) Mayo of Bradyville and Sheila (Charles) Walton of Woodbury; grandchildren, Dale and Dustin Mayo, Kimberly Grizzle and Cody Walton; great grandchildren, Elaina Turner, Rilley Mayo and Raylin Grizzle; brother, David Mayo of Woodbury.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jean Bilbrey, Mable Mooneyham, Howard, George, Roy, Teddy and Junior Mayo and his grandson, Daniel Walton.

A member of the Iconium Church of Christ, Buddy worked for different rock quarries. He enjoyed cars and riding horses.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 18, 2024 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Leoni cemetery.

The Mayo family will receive friends Saturday, August 17, 2024 after 4:00 P.M.
