Betty Ann Gaither

Betty Ann Gaither, 75, of Auburntown passed away on August 17, 2025 at her home following an extended illness. Betty was the daughter of the late King and Polly Pitts Barrett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marty Gaither and her brother, WC “Jimmy” Barrett.

Betty is survived by her children, Matt (Michelle) Gaither of Murfreesboro, David (Pam) Gaither of Woodbury, Spencer Gaither of Manchester; grandchildren, Jackie Gaither of Gallatin, Dalton, Taylor and Samantha Gaither all of Auburntown; Jacob (Brittany) Duggin of Woodbury, Austin (Madison) Duggin of Bradyville, Madison (Lane) Poss of Smithville, Skylan Gaither of Duck River, Tristen (Amanda) Farley of Murfreesboro and Rebecca Phibbs of Murfreesboro; great grandchildren, Huntlee Poss, Charlie Shipper, Lily and Amelia Duggin and Deacon Martin Gaither; brother, Ricky (Betty Jane) Barrett of Alexandria and sister, Wilma Dale Perry of Manchester. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A member of Prosperity Baptist church, she was retired from Rutherford Co. Board of Education. She enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family.

Her family will receive friends Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 20, 2025 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Thurman Seiber officiating. Interment will follow in Donnell cemetery. Pallbearers include, Taylor Gaither, Jacob Duggin, Austin Duggin, Skylar Gaither, William Shipper and Wendell Barrett.
