Allan Lamar Satchell, Sr., 84, of Woodbury passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025 at his home. Born in Broken Bow, Nebraska he was the son of the late Ralph Satchell and Alice Pomplun Fair. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by his stepfather, James Fair and 3 siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sandra Jackson Satchell of Woodbury; children, Allan L. Satchell of Hollowayville, IL., Gerald Eugene Satchell (Katie) of Baytown, TX., Shannon Kay Stanfield (J.D.) of Woodbury; 3 grandsons, Jason Allan Satchell, Anthony DeWayne Satchell and Matthew LeRoy Satchell (Patience) All of Baytown, TX. Also surviving are 6 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 5 sisters.
Mr. Satchell was affiliated with the Methodist faith and retired from Consolidated Freight, where he worked as a truck driver for over 30 years. He was also a proud teamster. Allan drove over 3 million miles without an accident and received numerous awards for his exemplary driving record. He had a passion for outdoor activities, enjoyed tinkering in his workshop, fishing, and riding motorcycles. He was highly creative and capable of fixing anything. Additionally, he had a great love for his dogs.
