Virginia Pitts Martin, age 90, of Christiana passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at NHC Murfreesboro.  She was a native of Cannon Co.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Snoddy of Smyrna; sons, Bruce (Nancy) Martin of Christiana and Barry (Wanda) Martin of Murfreesboro; Niece, Karla (Tom) Lane of Knoxville; Nephew, Karey (Joanie) Witty of Franklin; 4 Grandchildren, Sean Snoddy of Murfreesboro, Scott (Ashton) Martin of Rockvale, Brandon (Teri) Martin of Christiana, and Brittney (Austin) Burch of Murfreesboro; and 5 Great Grandchildren, Lucas Snoddy, Paige & Cohen Martin, and Hudson & Ali Gray Burch.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Dovie Manus Pitts; Husband, C.B. Martin; Son-in-law, Tim Snoddy; Grandson, Chris Snoddy; Brother, Glenn Pitts; and Sister, Henrietta Witty.

Ms. Martin was a member of the Church of Christ and was a Homemaker.

Graveside services will be 2 PM Friday, September 22, 2017 at Leoni Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tennessee State Trooper's Association.
