Verita Elaine Tenpenny

Verita Elaine Tenpenny, 58, of Murfreesboro passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018 at Northside Healthcare.  She was a native of Cannon Co., Tn.

 
She is survived by her brother, Terry Tenpenny of Murfreesboro; Her loving Cat, Pumpkin; Uncles and Aunts, Gordon (Sara) Bell of Murfreesboro, G.L. (Jerri Ann) Tenpenny and Louella Johnson all of Woodbury, Berry Sue Penner of Hendersonville, NC, and Pauline (Harold) Mathis of MI.; Special Friends,  Kathy Rogers & Lynn Soloman both of Murfreesboro.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Dee & Juanita Bell Tenpenny.
 
Verita was a member of the Barfield Baptist Church and a homemaker.  She loved to crochet, make prayer shawls, baby blankets and crosses.
 
Funeral Services will be 2 pm Friday, February 02, 2018 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Byers officiating.  Interment will follow in the Centerhill Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 4 pm to 9 pm Thursday, Feb. 01, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Barfield Baptist Church Growth Fund.
